Having Difficulty Finding Time To Exercise?

"I can't find time to workout". Is that your excuse for not exercising? Of course I know that you are a very busy professional or a full time housewife with a few kids to look after. However, no matter how busy you are, if you can find time to surf the internet to find and read this article, you definitely have time to workout.

 

Numerous studies have shown that you can improve your health tremendously and live longer by spending only less than 20 minutes a day exercising. Can you spare 20 minutes a day to exercise?

Here are a few ways which you can find time to exercise :-

 

  • Some studies have shown that an average adult spend about 16 hours a week watching television. Are you one of them? If so, you can workout on the treadmill, do some skipping or aerobic exercises while you are watching TV. Better yet, buy some dumbbells and exercise during the commercial break instead of raiding the fridge for unhealthy snacks!

 

  • Instead of meeting your buddy for a regular drink or coffee, why not take leisurely strolld around the neighborhood. This friendship bonding is even more precious than gossiping over a cup of coffee or worse, a mug of beer, don't you think so?

  • One of the reasons we do not exercise is because we think that exercising is a boring monotonous activity. Exercising need not be boring. You can round up a few friends to workout at a local gym together or even play some team games. When an activity is fun and pleasurable to you, you will somehow or other find time to indulge in it, won't you?

 

  • Try waking up 20 minutes earlier each day and you will have an extra 20 minutes to exercise every day. The best time to exercise for losing weight is first thing in the morning when your glycogen level is low. So if you want to lose weight, start exercising in the morning before breakfast. Now, go and set your alarm clock.

 

  • Make exercise as your priority. We all make time in our lives for the things that are most important to us. So if I were to tell you that I will give you a million dollars if you can find the time to exercise every day for a week, will you do it? Of course you will, won't you?

    This is because working out would suddenly become a priority and you won't find any excuses not to workout, won't you? So why isn't your physical well being and health be a priority? Isn't it about time you list exercising as a priority?

 

  • You have an hour lunch break at work don't you? So instead of wasting your time gossiping with your colleagues, why not block out 20 minutes for a quick workout?

 

  • Are you a pet lover? If you are, get yourself a pet dog and you will soon be taking your dog for walks everyday. Better yet if you can jog with them to improve your cardiovascular health.
