Why testosterones and pheromones are sexual aphrodisiacs
Most people regard testosterones as a male hormone
to build muscles and pheromones as a chemical secreted by your body to attract
the opposite sex or even the same sex for that matter. But why are they
sometimes known as sex aphrodisiacs or even supplemented as a libido
enhancement?
|
Do pheromones really work?
Well, let’s start with pheromones. Scientists
describe pheromones as "smellprints" which is unique each individual. Your
sense of smell is the most primitive of all human senses and thus unlike the
sense of touch and sight, it travels directly to the brain's limbic lobe where
it can provoke an emotional reaction that can well, quite literally, be a
sexual enhancer.
Pheromones are a naturally occurring
chemical compound found in all insects, animals, and humans. When pheromones
are secreted they dictate sexual behavior and attract the opposite sex.
Pheromone is Greek from the word Pheran-to transfer and Horman- to excite.
Animals and humans release masses of
biological chemicals in tears, saliva and sweat which contain pheromones. Thus
your "body odour", though imperceptible consciously relay signals relating to
mood, status, drive and health to the subconscious awareness of the opposite
sex and other people.
The dominant male will exude more of these
biological attractors than his more submissive counterpart, consequently he
naturally attracts more females. Could this be the Alpha
Male syndrome?
In the mid 1980s, scientists at the Chemical
Senses Center in Philadelphia confirmed that humans do secrete pheromones. The
scientists managed to isolated a pure pheromone compound called Androstenone.
It has been proven by independent research that if you take a row of say, ten
identical chairs and spray one of them with Androstenone, women will sit on it
more often. This experiment has been successfully repeated on telephone booths
and it was found that not only were those booths used more often by women, the
average duration of call also increased.
The problem is that since most pheromones
are found in the human sweat and are mainly detected by the sense of smell, we
washed them away when we take a shower, wash our hands, splashed off with
aftershaves or even masked them by perfume and fragrances. To compound that
problem, it is known that human beings produce very little of our own
pheromones to the extent that they are usually undetectable.
To capitalize on this, many companies
produce so called "synthetic pheromones" for men who want to attract girls and
for girls who want to attract men. However, there is nothing to prove that
artificial pheromones can work because all of us produce our own unique
pheromones and there obviously cannot be a one size fits all.
So the best thing to do if you want to
produce more of your own pheromones naturally is to get pheromone
supplements that help your body to produce more of your own pheromones.

So pheromone being called a sex aphrodisiac
is a misnomer. It is a sex aphrodisiac only to the person who is attracted to
you.
Sexual libido enhancement with testosterone?
Now let’s talk about testosterone being a libido
enhancer as well as a sex aphrodisiac. Testosterone is a steroid hormone from
the androgen group. Testosterone is primarily produced in the testes of males
and the ovaries of females, although small amount of testosterones are also
produced by the adrenal glands. It is the principal male sex hormone and an
anabolic (muscle growing) steroid.
In men, testosterone plays a key role in
health and well-being and that is why, it is regarded as a male hormone
although female also have testosterone hormone. Men produces about thirty to
fifty times more testosterone than women, but the overall ranges for male and
female can be very wide. That is why men are more sexually aggressive than our
female counterparts and as such, it is also regarded as a sex aphrodisiac and
is also used as a sexual libido enhancer for men who have lower sex drive or
even erectile dysfunction.
Since testosterone is a steroid,
supplementing with artificial or synthetic man made testosterone is dangerous
and have many side effects. That is why if you want to enhance your libido,
then supplement with testosterone boosters that helps your body to produce
more testosterone naturally. This is why testosterone is also known as a
sex aphrodisiac. Click here to read about Testosterone
Boosters.
Wishing you all the best in the search for sex aphrodisiac for your
libido enhancement.
