How To Get Muscle Mass Quickly, Easily And Naturally

If you want to gain muscle mass naturally, then you need to learn how to implement the basic muscle building principles. Sure there are a lot of bodybuilding supplements and fancy training routines that you can try out, but none of them will lead to any muscle growth unless you've put in the hard work and time to master the fundamental principles of muscle gain.

I struggled to build any muscle at all for years until I wrapped my mind around the importance of mastering the basics. Yes I know that it seems boring and it's definitely not exciting, but I guarantee that you will get excited as soon as you begin to pack on some muscle mass.

The Muscle Building Basics

In order to gain muscle mass, you've got to train in an appropriate fashion. Let's face it, you're not going to stimulate any muscle growth by aimlessly wandering around the gym a few days a week. In order to get results you need to give your muscles a reason to grow!

In order to stimulate muscle growth, your weight training workouts need to apply the principle of progressive overload. In order to make this happen, you either need to lift progressively heavier weights or perform more repetitions with the same weights with each and every workout. Pushing your muscles past the point of comfort is a sure-fire way to jumpstart the muscle building process.

Structure your muscle building workouts around heavy free weight compound exercises like squats, bench press, overhead presses, lunges, dead lifts and rows. Either the barbell or dumbbell variations of these exercises will stimulate growth so pick the style that you like the best.

Now that you know how to stimulate muscle growth through applying the progressive overload principle, you need to learn how to fuel muscle growth. In order to fuel muscle growth you need to focus on eating the right quantities of the right foods at the right times throughout the day. Structuring your bodybuilding diet to fuel and support the muscle building process is one of the most important things you can do.

Focus on eating 5 to 6 smaller meals each day, spread out every 2 - 3 hours. Make sure each meal consists of some high quality protein and carbohydrates as well as some fruits or vegetables and dietary fat. Also make it a habit to drink a decent amount of water each day.

Allow your body to rest and recover from the intense free weight workouts you put it through. Make sure to train each body part only 1 time each week. This will give your muscles a chance to recover fully between workouts. A lot of people like to mix in "active recovery" days where they perform moderate to low intensity cardio the day after an intense workout. This allows your muscles to recover and helps to flush out the lactic acid that pools up in your muscles the day after a workout while still allowing you to hit the gym and get in some exercise.

Also focus on getting a decent amount of sleep. It's been proven that different people need different amounts of sleep to recover from their workouts, so I won't make a blanket recommendation here, but it's critical to the muscle building process that you get the amount of sleep that your body needs.

If you make the commitment to focus on the muscle building basics, you'll be all but guaranteed to gain muscle mass quickly. Instead of worrying about the latest fad diet, workout program, or supplement, you can hit the gym with confidence that you're moving towards your goal of a more muscular body.

Wishing you all the best in getting that fabulously muscular body quickly, easily and naturally.
