How to burn more calories and lose weight fast?
We all know that to lose fat fast we must burn
more calories than what we consume from our meals consistently. But what
are calories? Why is it that we can lose fat fast by burning more calories?
How do we burn calories efficently to lose weight?
What are calories?
Calorie is a measurement of heat. It is the amount
of energy that is required to raise one milliliter of water by one degree
Celsius. Calorie measures the amount of heat or energy that is released when
you burn food down to its basic form. Calories are burnt through a complicated
and systematic process that oxidizes food to its basic form.
For example, if you burn a sugar, it will turn
into carbon dioxide. However in the body, the food burnt is converted to forms
of energy such as ATP.
So when you consume food, the food is broken
down and deposited as fat or glycogen (which are deposited in your muscles and
liver) to be burnt for energy as and when required.

Your body prefers to burn glycogen as its first choice of caloric energy
rather than body fat calories when you expand energy such as exercising. The
more muscles you have in your body, the more calories you will burn. The more
calories you burnt, the more
body fat you will lose. This is because muscles are metabolically active
whereas body fat are not because fat cells do not have much functionality and
are mostly inactive. So if you want to burn calories naturally around the
clock, build more muscles.
How many calories?
Different food form carry different amount of calories. Take for instance, a
gram of protein or carbohydrate has about four calories but a gram of fat
packs a whopping nine calories. More than double the number of calories when
compared to protein or carbohydrate calories.
So it simply follows that the more fat you consume, the more calories
your body will deposit. You can raise metabolic rate by eating many smaller
meals a day instead of three big meals. By eating several 5-6 times a day,
your insulin level is also better regulated and less insulin calories will
then be converted to body fat.
How to burn more calories to lose fat fast?
So how can you burn more calories and further raise your metabolism to
naturally burn more calories and lose fat? A simple and effective way to burn
more calories is to build more muscles and exercise frequently to use up
caloric energy and thus burning more calories in the process. In this way, you
will lose fat fast and effectively.
