Health Issues for Babyboomers and Aging Population
Baby Boomer is a term describing those of us who
were born in the years between 1946 - 1964. This was the period when the world
experienced the greatest population surge and thus, the phrase baby boomer was
coined.
However,
this generation is aging fast and most, if not all of us are experiencing the
underisable effect of getting older and more fragile. Can we turn back the
clock and fight and slow down the aging process or even grow younger?

If you are reading this page, you are probably a
babyboomer and is over 40 years of age. If you are, you will realize that age
is fast catching up with you and some of you may even qualify as senior
citizens.
Your wrinkles are appearing, your jowls are
more pronounced, your hair, if they are still there is turning grey or already
receding and you find yourself out of breath when doing simple chores like
climbing the stairs.

You will also have noticed that aches and
pains are appearing more often. For those of you who smoke or drink alcohol
frequently, your health may be more at risk than you may think.
This page will address the issues of health
and fitness of babyboomers and will carry more articles on how to defy the
aging process. Addressing health issues of our seniors and ourselves are
getting more and more pressing because of the fast expanding population of
people getting older and older.
Although many of us have comprehensive

will your out of shape body be a pressing concern to you, you are also facing
a very real and present danger of contracting age and weight related diseases

stroke, some types of cancers, diabetes etc
Slow down aging

Can we
reverse the aging process or at least slow it down? Well, some baby boomers
try to slow down the aging process by visting expensive cosmetic surgeons and
beauty salons to look younger.
But
that only beautifies the superficial part of you. Then what about how to
improve your general health and fitness? How about looking
good and feeling younger like you were in your late teens or early 20s?
I
was 49 when this picture was taken.

I am over
50 now and was once grossly overweight and with that, I suffered from chronic
backache and high blood pressure back then. One day about 15 years ago, I
decided that enough is enough and was determined to do something about it.
Today
my backache has completely disappeared and my blood pressure has returned to
normal. Today not only do I have a body shape better than most people in their
twenties, I play football with people half my age, enjoy trekking in the
backwoods and going on scuba diving vacations frequently.

Hey,
although I am over half a century old, I feel much younger and is enjoying
every moment of it than I was in my late twenties and thirties. So if you want
to slow down the aging process and even reversing some of that, then decide to
do something about it and be young and healthy again!
Let
